5.5 Government has directed the trade & industry to pass on the benefit of any reduction in rate of tax (GST) on any supply of goods or services or the benefit of ITC (Input Tax Credit), to the recipient/ end customer, by way of commensurate reduction in its prices. Certain companies have already started giving advertisements in newspapers & media showing picture & name of products, its weight/ measurement, Old MRP & New MRP effective from 22 Sep 2025. Such MRP includes all taxes, including GST.
