It gives me immense pride and joy to extend my heartfelt greetings to all, as we step into a truly momentous year called a ‘Platinum Jubilee’ of our Association. Seventy-five years of growth, excellence and commitment towards sharing the knowledge and maintaining amongst us the friendship and fraternity. Before pondering over the formation of STPA which evolved into STPAM and now GSTPAM a bit of background is required to explain how I associated myself with the Association. After completing my graduation, I joined the practice with my father P.V. Surte in the year 1977. I had no choice but to look after the Sales Tax Matters as my elder brother was already looking after Income Tax Matters. Initially, I was enrolled as STP.
