Mr. Devendra Fadnavis, the State’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Finance, unveiled the “Panchamrut” budget for 2023–2024 on Thursday, March 9. The budget projection for 2023–24 is Rs 5,47,450 crore, an increase from Rs 4,95,404 crore last year with an emphasis on five areas— agriculture, infrastructure, marginalised populations and members of society, environment, and job creation. Few Highlights Tax Concession In the state budget the Amnesty Scheme was declared which will be called “Maharashtra Settlement of Arrears of Tax, Interest, Penalty or Late Fee Act, 2023”.
