If I have to write about my relation with the Sales Tax Practitioners Association of Maharashtra (Now GSTPAM), I can write pages however, I have pen down few nostalgic memories of my initial years in GSTPAM and my journey thereafter. It was 40th year celebration of this Association, that I was invited to be part of the celebration team by Shri J. D. Nankani. Thereafter Dhanesh Bhai Parikh, invited me to be part of his managing committee. Under the dynamic Presidentship of Shri C. B. Thakar, I became the convenor of Law and Representative Committee. That was a year of challenge and change. From 01-10-1995, VAT provisions were introduced under BST Act. The young brigadiers of C. B. Bhai, Me, Sujata Rangnekar, Rajat Talati, Kiran Garkar, along with many others, gave lectures all throughout Maharashtra to educate our mofussil members about new VAT system, in place of single point levy of tax.
